Alexander, It does hurt when we don’t know why our child has decided to cut us out of their lives. Sometimes I believe that it is a maladaptive coping mechanism because it is easy to place the blame on a parent for everything that goes wrong in their lives. I am sorry you are experiencing the pain of this. The agony of not knowing, and not having them tell you why, is the hardest thing of all. Please know that I see your pain and I am sending love and support. You are not alone. Please be gentle with yourself. Nothing ever prepares us for this to happen. It is a journey and it takes time. I wish you all the best.
