Brutal. Now there's a word for it. I have not given up, although I hold very loosely to the hope that we will reconcile. I do not reach out often, but when I do I never receive any reply. I have written letters and occasionally I text. By some miracle she has not blocked me from her new phone, and I was given her number (with her permission) from a family member. I live day by day and have found peace with the way things are. It will be a bonus if she ever returns.
