I grew up in the American south and breakfast was always eggs, bacon, biscuits, etc. Until my mom read a book that challenged that idea, and we started sitting down to liver and onions, fresh vegetables and rice or leftover pasta and veggies. It was the 70’s and my mom was considered strange, but we liked eating those foods for breakfast!
