May is also for portals. Actually, all seasons tend to offer up a good portal or two, but I start to really notice them in May when the leaves fill out. Portals are that trick of the eye that happens when tree canopies appear to form a circle at the horizon line — kind of, sort of. It’s all a matter of perspective.
