I loved this, Bebe. So funny and so true!

My mom used to complain about being invisible. She was a looker in her younger years and I think it is harder for women who are used to getting attention to suddenly be invisible. I have tried to prepare for being invisible with a sense of the freedom it will give me not to worry about how I look! I know it will happen to me, too, someday.

When Mom rode the motorcycle with my step-dad and wore her leather chaps and jacket, she said no one would make eye contact with her when she would go in to pay for the gas. She really felt invisible then. She said she wanted to yell, "I'm just a harmless grandmother! I'm not a biker babe!" I always thought that was so funny.
