I want to save my kids the burden as well, but I know that when my mother died, even though she and I had been clearing out for several years, it still took my daughter and me a week working 8-10 hours a day to get the rest of it. I don't know what I would have done without her. I want to make it easy for her, so I keep working at getting rid of things that are just taking up space. When I'm done I will have a curated home that will be a joy to live in.
