It’s taken most of my 62 years to outrun this, but I am getting better about not apologizing for my house. I just. don’t. apologize. I bite my tongue. Not one person has ever looked askance at my very lived-in house. Most people don’t give a damn. And I think most people are relieved to see we aren’t perfect housekeepers either. We live in this house and I will no longer apologize for that fact.
