Jim- This breaks my heart. As parents we never anticipate this for our child. And what we want more than anything is to bring them back into the fold and fix everything for them. Letting our children make bad choices is one of the biggest challenges of parenting. Trusting they have their own path is hard, but can bring a measure of peace. All we can do is keep loving them and trust that love to get through, even if it doesn’t save them.
