My mother’s death came quickly from Covid, complicated by a lung disease. In the end, she was relieved to know she was not going to make it because it saved her from an agonizing and painful death with pulmonary fibrosis. She died with a smile on her face. I wasn’t ready for her to go but I am grateful she went quickly and peacefully with minimal suffering. It was a good death. That’s all any of us can ask for.
On the other hand, my father died like Ben did and I found it completely unmooring to not get a chance to say goodbye like I did with mom, so I know how hard Ben’s death has been for you. A good way to go for him, but hard on those left behind.
Sending love. ❤️
