Oh, dear, I know how hard that is. I have been with my husband 12 years, married 4, and it took so long and so much love and patience on my part to win his children. It was when we got married and they all gave beautiful and impromptu toasts that they said “I am so glad you are in our lives and we see how happy you make our dad.” That was a gorgeous moment for me and one I had LONG waited for. It may happen — or not — but you have to focus on your beautiful love and let others do what they will with their feelings. Not everyone is able to love us the way we want to be loved and it’s not always (hardly ever!) about us. Sending big, big jump-up-and-down snoopy dance hugs your way!
