y swooning …t was too hot to turn the oven on, my partner isn’t keen on it and, mostly, I couldn’t be bothered. Languishing won’t be a permanent state, but I’m getting through a lot of books and my partner has been making things like tuna tartare, broiled salmon and fresh basil pasta — all so delicious that I may never slave over a hot stove again. In fact, I may become a monument of malingering forever languishing on my swooning couch.
