Robert, I am so sorry you are experiencing estrangement from your sons. It is not something that we ever plan for in our parenting.

I hope you will find comfort and encouragement in my writings. I have come a long way, and should probably do an update at some point. Writing helped me work out a lot of my struggles.

I can say without hesitation that I am beyond the crushing pain, the confusion, the shame and the anger. I have learned to accept the reality and move forward with my life. I am happy, and surrounded by love, and I am able to send love to my daughter now without expectation of love in return. It has been a journey of self-discovery, self- forgiveness and self-love.
