So much truth to this! We chose our last house based on it being midway between both our jobs. We loved the view and the property. What we didn’t anticipate was neighbors who hated us from day one, the constant gunfire and rowdy drinking parties. We walled ourselves off with a huge hedge but it didn’t change anything. We left there for a town my family has lived in for 50 years, and I have always loved. We bought in a gated community to avoid a repeat of the last house! It’s like heaven and we finally feel like we have found our home.
