Thank you, Maria, for your thoughtful response. I will check out some of the links you shared.
My Dr. didn't tell me no fat - just no red meat or bacon. I use olive oil and nut butters and eat walnuts, pistachios and pecans which all have fat. Also avocados. Butter was my real weakness and I am looking for alternatives that have less saturated fat.
The sugar part will be harder for me, because I have a sweet tooth, but I am finding ways to satisfy that without added sugar.
