Thanks for sharing this moving story. It sometimes seems strange that I am still so connected to my stepdad after my mom passed, but I made a promise to her that I would take care of him. He, too, can be difficult and demanding. But I made a promise and I will honor it, just as you honored your commitment to your stepmom. ❤️
