Thanks for this great information, George. We moved last year into a home on the side of a mountain in North Carolina. There were wildfires 15 miles from our house. We talked about preparing a go bag and have talked about it several times since but have yet to do anything about it. Now is the time as wildfire season is upon us again.

Also, our cat gets suspicious when we start moving around to go somewhere, too. The idea of leaving the door open is a good one.
