Thanks, Nancy! I love day trips, too. Our favorite is the Blue Ridge Parkway, which is only an hour and a half away. Makes for a lovely day in dead summer when it’s so hot where we are. It can be 96 here and 66 on top of Mt. Mitchell.

I am looking forward to one or two trips before I die that are irresistible enough to warrant the trouble and angst of flying.
