This is such a thought-provoking piece, Alisa. I know my own divorce had a detrimental impact on my children. I had to get out of my marriage to save myself, but I still regret how it affected my children. Should I have sacrificed myself for my children? Some would say yes. I can’t go back, but I don’t think I could have done it any differently.
