This story makes me happy and sad at the same time. What a beautiful thing, to preserve a part of history for future generations. And yet, in so many places it seems we can’t wait to tear down the past and build a flimsy substitute that will never last. I have always adored the old ways. I wonder if anyone will remember them or even care 100 years from now?
