When my husband and I were first living together the rule was whoever cooked the other one cleaned up. After a few times of having to clean up after I cooked, he decided to do all the cooking! He can cook an entire meal in a single pan and I use every pan in the kitchen, plus all the bowls, 10 utensils, measuring cups and spoons and a couple of sheet pans. And I make a mess! But you can't argue with the outcome.
