Yes! So ridiculous! I married a wonderful man eight years older than me when I was 53 and he was 61. He has beautiful, silvery hair. Yet he was a bit taken aback when I decided to let mine go gray recently. I have always been blonde as long as he has known me. I basically told him to get over it, or else he was going to have to start coloring his hair too!

Your last line made me laugh out loud! I came across an old card from my mom today that said “I have seen men at their best and their worst, and frankly I can’t really tell the difference!” She was offering those words as wisdom to my younger self from her many years of experience. I think there’s something to that!
