Yes to all of the above, Caroline. There are so many nuances in estrangements and so many variables. A child with mental illness and/or a personality disorder is definitely one of those variables.

I know how hard it was for you to make the decision to block your daughter, but I applaud your courage to take care of yourself and your family.
