You are speaking to my situation exactly. We live in rural America where everyone around us sees the world differently than we do. We love the quiet as we are both highly sensitive personalities, but the trade off is a loneliness that cuts like a knife. You are exactly right about community. It is a life giving force and can actually extend your life expectancy. We are searching for what’s next for us and it must include more opportunities to build friendships.
